In deze voorwaarden heet dat bedrijf "wij" of "ons". "Jij" ben jij als gebruiker. Deze voorwaarden gelden voor elk gebruik van Rainplot.
2. Wat Rainplot is, en wat niet
Rainplot is een hulpmiddel om zelf een tuinberegening te ontwerpen.
- De berekeningen zijn schattingen. Ze gaan uit van gegevens van fabrikanten en van aannames.
- Wij nemen die gegevens zelf over en verwerken ze. Daarbij kunnen wij fouten maken, waardoor getallen in Rainplot niet kloppen. Controleer daarom de gegevens die voor jou belangrijk zijn, zoals druk, waterverbruik, worp, maten en prijzen, zelf bij de fabrikant of de winkel, voordat je koopt of aanlegt.
- Wind, helling, bodem en schommelingen in waterdruk rekenen we niet mee.
- Prijzen zijn indicatief. Een winkel kan andere prijzen of producten hebben.
- De documentatie van fabrikanten (PDF's) is een kopie. Die kan verouderd zijn.
- Rainplot is geen installateur en geeft geen persoonlijk advies.
- Een ontwerp van Rainplot is een schatting, geen garantie dat je tuin daarmee goed wordt beregend.
Controleer daarom alles zelf voordat je iets koopt of aanlegt: maten, druk, debiet, onderdelen en prijzen.
Bij het kopen van een licentie bevestig je dit apart, met een eigen vakje: "Ik weet dat Rainplot schattingen geeft op basis van gegevens van fabrikanten, zonder wind, helling, bodem en drukschommelingen, en dat prijzen indicatief zijn." (artikel 8 lid 5 Richtlijn (EU) 2019/770).
3. Je account
- Je hebt een account nodig. Een account is voor één persoon.
- Je bent 18 jaar of ouder.
- Gebruik een juist e-mailadres dat van jou is.
- Houd je wachtwoord geheim. Denk je dat iemand anders het kent? Verander het en laat het ons weten.
- Je kunt je account altijd verwijderen: Account → Account verwijderen.
- Bij misbruik of als je deze voorwaarden overtreedt, mogen we je account opschorten of beëindigen (artikel 10). Vraag je ons waarom, dan leggen we het uit, tenzij de wet dat verbiedt.
4. Gratis gebruik
- Je krijgt 30 minuten actieve tijd. De tijd loopt vanaf het eerste object dat je op de kaart zet. De rondleiding telt niet mee.
- Actief betekent: Rainplot is open en je gebruikt het. De server telt ook zelf hoeveel minuten je de kaart van dichtbij laadt. Na de eerste 10 minuten telt dat mee als je app minder tijd meldt.
- De gratis tijd stopt ook 14 dagen na de start, ook als je minder dan 30 minuten hebt gebruikt.
- Gratis kun je hoogstens 4 sproeiers op de kaart zetten en kies je uit een klein aantal modellen.
- Gratis kun je niet opslaan, niet exporteren en de planner niet gebruiken. Van de boodschappenlijst zie je de eerste 3 regels.
- De gratis tijd hoort bij je e-mailadres, niet bij je account. Een nieuw account met hetzelfde adres geeft geen nieuwe gratis tijd. Dat geldt ook voor varianten zoals naam+iets@ of, bij Gmail, punten in de naam.
- De documentatie van fabrikanten kun je als ingelogde gebruiker bekijken, tot 60 verschillende documenten per dag.
5. De licentie
Een licentie is wat je koopt: de volledige versie van Rainplot, 1 jaar, voor één locatie. In deze voorwaarden betekent "licentie" steeds dat.
- Een licentie kost € 5, inclusief btw.
- Een licentie geldt voor één adres: alles binnen 100 meter van het punt waarvoor je de licentie kocht. Dat punt is het midden van je ontwerp op de kaart bij het afrekenen; de licentie krijgt als naam de coördinaten van dat punt en het aantal sproeiers. De rand van de tuin mag hoogstens 50 meter verder liggen.
- Een licentie geldt 365 dagen vanaf de betaling. Die verlengt niet vanzelf. Je betaalt dus nooit ongevraagd opnieuw.
- Koop je een nieuwe licentie voor een ontwerp dat al onder een lopende licentie valt? Dan begint de nieuwe als de oude afloopt.
- Met een licentie krijg je voor dat adres: alle sproeiers en modellen, de planner, opslaan, exporteren en de volledige boodschappenlijst.
- De planner draait op onze server. Per licentie kun je hem 20 keer per dag gebruiken (een dag in UTC-tijd). Een run telt als hij een ontwerp gaf of 30 seconden liep. Je kunt hem hoogstens 60 keer per dag starten.
- Tegen misbruik gelden ook andere technische limieten, bijvoorbeeld voor kaartbeelden, opslag (50 MB per account) en exports per uur. Bij normaal gebruik merk je die niet.
6. Betalen
- Je betaalt via Mollie B.V. met iDEAL, Bancontact of creditcard.
- Direct na de betaling sturen we je een e-mail met: wat je kocht, de prijs inclusief btw, het adres van de licentie, de begin- en einddatum, of je koos om direct te beginnen en daarmee afzag van herroeping, en deze voorwaarden als bijlage, met hun versie. Bewaar die e-mail.
- Wil je een factuur? Mail ons, dan sturen we die.
7. Herroepingsrecht
Normaal mag je een online aankoop binnen 14 dagen herroepen (artikel 6:230o Burgerlijk Wetboek). Voor digitale inhoud die direct begint, geldt dat niet als jij dat zelf kiest:
- Begint je licentie direct, dan vink je bij het afrekenen aan: "Start direct; ik verlies mijn herroepingsrecht." Zonder dat vinkje kun je zo'n licentie niet kopen.
- De licentie begint direct na de betaling. Vanaf dat moment kun je de aankoop niet meer herroepen (artikel 16 sub m Richtlijn 2011/83/EU; artikel 6:230p BW; voor Duitsland § 356 lid 5 BGB).
- We bevestigen je keuze per e-mail (artikel 6; artikel 6:230v BW).
- Begint je nieuwe licentie later, omdat je ontwerp al onder een lopende licentie valt (artikel 5)? Dan vragen we geen afstand van herroeping. Je kunt die aankoop herroepen tot de licentie begint, en in elk geval binnen 14 dagen na de betaling.
- Herroepen doe je met een duidelijke e-mail aan info@rainplot.com, of met het modelformulier onderaan deze voorwaarden. Je krijgt je geld binnen 14 dagen terug, op dezelfde manier als je betaalde (artikel 6:230r BW).
8. Je wettelijke rechten
Als consument heb je wettelijke rechten als de licentie niet aan de overeenkomst beantwoordt, gedurende de hele looptijd (artikel 7:50aa en verder BW; Richtlijn (EU) 2019/770). Wat is afgesproken, staat in deze voorwaarden, vooral in artikel 2. Werkt de licentie niet zoals beschreven? Meld het ons. Dan herstellen we het binnen een redelijke termijn en zonder kosten. Lukt dat niet, dan kun je kiezen voor een lagere prijs of voor ontbinding met terugbetaling. Deze voorwaarden nemen die rechten niet weg.
9. Gebruiksrecht
- Met een licentie (artikel 5) mag je Rainplot gebruiken voor de tuin op het adres van die licentie, voor jezelf of je huishouden. Dat gebruiksrecht is persoonlijk en niet overdraagbaar.
- Je mag je eigen ontwerp delen met wie je tuin aanlegt, bijvoorbeeld een hovenier.
- Rainplot is niet bedoeld voor werk voor anderen, als installateur, hovenier of verkoper. Een zakelijke licentie daarvoor bieden we nu niet aan; die kan later komen.
10. Wat niet mag
- Rainplot automatisch bevragen of afschrapen (scraping, crawling, bots, scripts), behalve gewoon gebruik in je browser.
- Substantiële delen van de bibliotheek van sproeiers, pompen en onderdelen, de prijzen, de rekenkern of de app kopiëren of hergebruiken, of herhaald en stelselmatig kleine delen opvragen (artikel 11). Wat je voor je eigen ontwerp nodig hebt, mag.
- De software ontleden of terugvertalen (reverse engineering), behalve voor zover de wet dat altijd toestaat (artikel 45m Auteurswet; Richtlijn 2009/24/EG, artikelen 5 en 6).
- Je account delen met anderen.
- De gratis limieten omzeilen, bijvoorbeeld met extra accounts, andere e-mailadressen of door de app of de teller aan te passen.
- De beveiliging testen of omzeilen, of de dienst overbelasten.
Doe je dat toch, dan mogen we je account opschorten of beëindigen. Het ongebruikte deel van een lopende licentie betalen we dan naar verhouding terug, min de redelijke kosten die we door het misbruik maakten. Verdere schade mogen we op je verhalen.
11. Intellectueel eigendom
- De software, teksten en afbeeldingen van Rainplot zijn auteursrechtelijk beschermd. Ze zijn van ons of van onze licentiegevers. Onderdelen van open-source software staan in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md.
- De bibliotheek van sproeiers, pompen, kleppen en prijzen is een databank waarin we veel hebben geïnvesteerd. Daarop rust databankenrecht (Databankenwet; Richtlijn 96/9/EG). Je mag er geen substantiële delen uit halen of hergebruiken. Ook herhaald en stelselmatig kleine delen opvragen mag niet.
- Merknamen, productgegevens en documentatie zijn van de fabrikanten. De kopieën van hun PDF's zijn alleen ter naslag.
- Kaartbeelden zijn van de aanbieders die op de kaart staan. Van de kaartbeelden van Esri mag je alleen gebruiken wat Rainplot toont en exporteert; niet downloaden, opslaan of hergebruiken. De bronvermelding blijft op de kaart en op geëxporteerde plannen staan.
- Je ontwerp is van jou. Je geeft ons toestemming om het op te slaan en te verwerken, voor zover dat nodig is om Rainplot te leveren en je te helpen (zie de privacyverklaring).
12. Exports
- Een opgeslagen project kun je exporteren als versleuteld bestand (.rainplot). Dat opent alleen in Rainplot. Wie het importeert, heeft een licentie nodig voor het adres van dat ontwerp.
- PDF en CSV bevatten een watermerk: je e-mailadres, het nummer van je licentie, de datum en een code van je account. Haal dat niet weg. Deel je een PDF of CSV, dan ziet de ontvanger je e-mailadres.
13. Beschikbaarheid en wijzigingen van de dienst
- We doen ons best om Rainplot goed en beschikbaar te houden, maar we beloven niet dat het altijd werkt. Soms is er onderhoud. Bewaar zelf een kopie van belangrijke ontwerpen.
- We mogen functies veranderen of verbeteren. Kun je de licentie door een verandering merkbaar minder gebruiken? Dan mailen we dat vooraf. Je kunt de licentie dan binnen 30 dagen beëindigen; het ongebruikte deel betalen we naar verhouding terug.
- We mogen met Rainplot stoppen, zonder opzegtermijn. Het ongebruikte deel van een lopende licentie betalen we dan naar verhouding terug.
14. Aansprakelijkheid
Rainplot is een hulpmiddel dat schattingen geeft (artikel 2). Jij beslist wat je koopt en aanlegt, en jij controleert dat eerst. Een ontwerp of berekening is geen advies waarop je zonder eigen controle mag afgaan.
Wij zijn niet aansprakelijk voor indirecte schade of gevolgschade. Daaronder valt schade door jouw eigen beslissingen over kopen en aanleggen, zoals kosten van onderdelen, materiaal of werk, waterschade, een beregening die anders werkt dan verwacht en gemiste besparingen.
Wij zijn niet aansprakelijk voor gegevens en prijzen van fabrikanten en winkels; die zijn van derden. Ook niet voor verlies van gegevens waarvan je zelf een kopie kon bewaren.
Zijn wij toch aansprakelijk, dan is dat beperkt tot het bedrag dat je voor je licentie betaalde, en ten minste de prijs van één licentie.
De beperkingen in dit artikel gelden niet bij opzet of bewuste roekeloosheid van ons of onze leiding, en niet bij dood of letsel. Ze gelden ook niet voor zover de wet dat niet toestaat. Je wettelijke rechten uit artikel 8 blijven altijd gelden.
15. Wijziging van deze voorwaarden
- We mogen deze voorwaarden wijzigen als de wet verandert, als we functies toevoegen of veranderen, of om misbruik tegen te gaan.
- We mailen iedereen met een account minstens 30 dagen voordat een wijziging ingaat.
- Is een wijziging nadelig voor een licentie die je al betaalde? Dan kun je de licentie tot de ingangsdatum opzeggen; het ongebruikte deel betalen we naar verhouding terug. Voor een licentie die je al betaalde, verandert de prijs nooit.
- Elke versie heeft een nummer. We bewaren bij je account en bij elke betaling welke versie je accepteerde.
16. Klachten
Heb je een klacht? Mail ons op info@rainplot.com. We antwoorden binnen 14 dagen. Wij zijn niet aangesloten bij een geschillencommissie. Komen we er samen niet uit, dan kun je naar de rechter (artikel 17). Het Europese platform voor online geschillenbeslechting (ODR) is sinds 20 juli 2025 gesloten.
17. Toepasselijk recht en rechter
- Op deze voorwaarden is Nederlands recht van toepassing.
- Woon je in een ander land van de EU? Dan houd je de bescherming van de dwingende regels van dat land.
- Een geschil gaat naar de rechter die volgens de wet bevoegd is. Woon je in de EU, dan mag je altijd naar de rechter van je woonplaats; wij kunnen jou alleen daar dagvaarden.
18. Overig
- Is een deel van deze voorwaarden ongeldig of niet afdwingbaar? Dan blijft de rest gelden.
- Deze voorwaarden zijn er in het Nederlands en het Engels. Verschillen ze, dan geldt de uitleg die voor jou het gunstigst is.

In these terms that company is "we" or "us". "You" are you, the user. These terms apply to every use of Rainplot.
2. What Rainplot is, and what it is not
Rainplot is a tool to design a garden sprinkler system yourself.
- The calculations are estimates. They are based on manufacturers' data and on assumptions.
- We copy and process that data ourselves. We can make mistakes in doing so, so numbers in Rainplot may be wrong. Check the data that matters to you, such as pressure, flow, throw, sizes and prices, with the manufacturer or the shop before you buy or install.
- Wind, slope, soil and changes in water pressure are not taken into account.
- Prices are indicative. A shop may have other prices or products.
- The manufacturers' documentation (PDFs) is a copy. It may be out of date.
- Rainplot is not an installer and gives no personal advice.
- A Rainplot design is an estimate, not a guarantee that your garden will be watered well with it.
So check everything yourself before you buy or install anything: sizes, pressure, flow, parts and prices.
When you buy a pass you confirm this separately, with a box of its own: "I know that Rainplot gives estimates based on manufacturers' data, without wind, slope, soil and pressure changes, and that prices are indicative." (Directive (EU) 2019/770, article 8(5)).
3. Your account
- You need an account. An account is for one person.
- You are 18 or older.
- Use a correct e-mail address that is yours.
- Keep your password secret. Do you think someone else knows it? Change it and tell us.
- You can delete your account at any time: Account → Delete account.
- On abuse, or if you break these terms, we may suspend or end your account (article 10). If you ask us why, we explain, unless the law forbids it.
4. Free use
- You get 30 minutes of active time. The time runs from the first object you place on the map. The tour does not count.
- Active means: Rainplot is open and you are using it. The server also counts by itself how many minutes you load the map close up. After the first 10 minutes this counts when your app reports less time.
- The free time also ends 14 days after it started, even if you used less than 30 minutes.
- For free you can place at most 4 sprinklers on the map and choose from a small number of models.
- For free you cannot save, export or use the planner. You see the first 3 rows of the shopping list.
- The free time belongs to your e-mail address, not to your account. A new account with the same address gives no new free time. This also applies to variants such as name+something@ or, at Gmail, dots in the name.
- When logged in, you can view the manufacturers' documentation, up to 60 different documents a day.
5. The pass
- A pass costs €5, VAT included.
- A pass is for one address: everything within 100 metres of the point you bought it for. That point is the centre of your design on the map at checkout; the pass is named by the coordinates of that point and the number of sprinklers. The edge of the garden may lie at most 50 metres further out.
- A pass is valid for 365 days from payment. It does not renew by itself, so you are never charged again without asking.
- Do you buy a new pass for a design that a running pass already covers? Then the new one starts when the old one ends.
- For that address a pass gives you: all sprinklers and models, the planner, saving, exporting and the full shopping list.
- The planner runs on our server. Each pass can use it 20 times a day (a day in UTC). A run counts once it gave a design or ran for 30 seconds. You can start it at most 60 times a day.
- Other technical limits apply against abuse, for example for map images, storage (50 MB per account) and exports per hour. In normal use you won't notice them.
6. Payment
- You pay through Mollie B.V. with iDEAL, Bancontact or a credit card.
- Right after payment we send you an e-mail with: what you bought, the price including VAT, the pass's address, the start and end date, whether you chose to start at once and thereby gave up the right of withdrawal, and these terms attached, with their version. Keep that e-mail.
- Do you want an invoice? E-mail us and we will send it.
7. Right of withdrawal
Normally you may withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days (Dutch Civil Code, article 6:230o). For digital content that starts at once, this does not apply if you choose so yourself:
- If your pass starts at once, you tick at checkout: "Start now; I lose my right of withdrawal." Without that tick you cannot buy such a pass.
- The pass starts right after payment. From then on you can no longer withdraw (Directive 2011/83/EU, article 16(m); Dutch Civil Code, article 6:230p; for Germany § 356(5) BGB).
- We confirm your choice by e-mail (article 6; Dutch Civil Code, article 6:230v).
- Does your new pass start later, because a running pass already covers your design (article 5)? Then we do not ask you to give up the right of withdrawal. You can withdraw from that purchase until the pass starts, and in any case within 14 days after payment.
- To withdraw, send a clear e-mail to info@rainplot.com, or use the model form at the end of these terms. You get your money back within 14 days, in the same way you paid (Dutch Civil Code, article 6:230r).
8. Your legal rights
As a consumer you have legal rights when the pass does not conform to the contract, for its whole term (Dutch Civil Code, article 7:50aa and following; Directive (EU) 2019/770). What was agreed is in these terms, above all in article 2. Does the pass not work as described? Tell us. We then fix it within a reasonable time and free of charge. If that fails, you can choose a lower price or termination with a refund. These terms do not take those rights away.
9. Licence
- You may use Rainplot for the garden at the address of your pass, for yourself or your household. The licence is personal and cannot be transferred.
- You may share your own design with whoever builds your garden, for example a gardener.
- Rainplot is not meant for work for others, as an installer, gardener or seller. We do not offer a licence for that now; one may come later.
10. What is not allowed
- Querying or scraping Rainplot automatically (scraping, crawling, bots, scripts), other than normal use in your browser.
- Copying or reusing substantial parts of the library of sprinklers, pumps and parts, the prices, the calculation engine or the app, or repeatedly and systematically requesting small parts (article 11). What you need for your own design is allowed.
- Taking the software apart or decompiling it (reverse engineering), except as far as the law always allows (Dutch Copyright Act, article 45m; Directive 2009/24/EC, articles 5 and 6).
- Sharing your account with others.
- Working around the free limits, for example with extra accounts, other e-mail addresses, or by changing the app or the counter.
- Testing or working around the security, or overloading the service.
If you do, we may suspend or end your account. We then refund the unused part of a running pass pro rata, minus the reasonable costs the abuse caused us. We may claim further damages from you.
11. Intellectual property
- Rainplot's software, texts and images are protected by copyright. They belong to us or to our licensors. Open-source parts are listed in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md.
- The library of sprinklers, pumps, valves and prices is a database in which we invested a lot. It is protected by the database right (Dutch Databases Act; Directive 96/9/EC). You may not extract or reuse substantial parts of it. Repeated and systematic extraction of small parts is not allowed either.
- Brand names, product data and documentation belong to the manufacturers. The copies of their PDFs are for reference only.
- Map images belong to the providers named on the map. Of Esri's map images you may only use what Rainplot shows and exports; do not download, store or reuse them. The attribution stays on the map and on exported plans.
- Your design is yours. You allow us to store and process it as far as needed to provide Rainplot and to help you (see the privacy notice).
12. Exports
- You can export a saved project as an encrypted file (.rainplot). It opens only in Rainplot. Whoever imports it needs a pass for that design's address.
- PDF and CSV carry a watermark: your e-mail address, your pass number, the date and a code of your account. Do not remove it. If you share a PDF or CSV, the recipient sees your e-mail address.
13. Availability and changes to the service
- We do our best to keep Rainplot working and available, but we do not promise that it always works. Sometimes there is maintenance. Keep your own copy of important designs.
- We may change or improve features. If a change makes the pass noticeably less useful to you, we e-mail you beforehand. You can then end the pass within 30 days; we refund the unused part pro rata.
- We may stop Rainplot, without a notice period. We then refund the unused part of a running pass pro rata.
14. Liability
Rainplot is a tool that gives estimates (article 2). You decide what you buy and install, and you check it first. A design or calculation is no advice to rely on without your own check.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. This includes loss from your own decisions about buying and installing, such as costs of parts, materials or work, water damage, a sprinkler system that works differently than expected and missed savings.
We are not liable for data and prices of manufacturers and shops; they come from third parties. Nor for loss of data of which you could have kept a copy yourself.
If we are liable after all, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for your pass, and at least the price of one pass.
The limits in this article do not apply in case of intent or deliberate recklessness by us or our management, nor to death or personal injury. Nor do they apply as far as the law does not allow them. Your legal rights under article 8 always remain.
15. Changes to these terms
- We may change these terms when the law changes, when we add or change features, or to prevent abuse.
- We e-mail everyone with an account at least 30 days before a change takes effect.
- Is a change to the disadvantage of a pass you already paid for? Then you can cancel the pass until the change takes effect; we refund the unused part pro rata. For a pass you already paid for, the price never changes.
- Every version has a number. With your account and with every payment we keep which version you accepted.
16. Complaints
Do you have a complaint? E-mail us at info@rainplot.com. We answer within 14 days. We are not affiliated with a dispute resolution body. If we cannot solve it together, you can go to court (article 17). The EU platform for online dispute resolution (ODR) has been closed since 20 July 2025.
17. Governing law and court
- Dutch law applies to these terms.
- Do you live in another EU country? Then you keep the protection of that country's mandatory rules.
- A dispute goes to the court that is competent by law. If you live in the EU, you may always go to the court where you live; we can only take you to court there.
18. Other
- If part of these terms is invalid or cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- These terms exist in Dutch and English. If they differ, the reading that is most favourable to you applies.
